Actually for ETC i just used that basic transparent tape that was laying around the house... I just took the edge of a knife and swiped it around it... Not hard at all.

I'm sure by now my cover is getting pretty grungy and normal tape wouldn't stick to it. You never know though.
I think you posted just as I was editing my post, so make sure you take a look. It might help you with your doors.

It might help you with your doors. I soaked mine in HOT water and wiped all dirt away.. you will be fine if you do that.

Sorry about the double post. I am also thinking about painting my center console as well as the plastic floor boards next to the door black. For extra protection i will be clear coating it... what kind of clear coat should i use.. I dont want it all that shiney because the rest of the black in the car is not shiney.. its flat.

The above post shows how to get to the bubbles, I painted mine using krylon fusion blue and krylon mystic.

THe krylon fusion mystic is a clearcoat paint that adds a shimmer to paint, works best with darker colors

any clear coat will be fine...but it will still get chipped over time...i have my sills out of my car and sanded down ready to be painted but just sort of forgot about them...i was going to paint the ridged area(sanded the ridges off) black but now I am considering just painting all the grey parts on my interior black with this krylon paint so I will probably paint that part red.....how much a can is this stuff again?

im spending about from 3-4.50 a can. Not bad at all. Covers a large amount of space. Aveosam, do you know how to take the center console out? I got all three screws out.. but the emergency brake and shifter knobs are in my way... I feel like im trying to solve a rubics cube.

i've done it jay, just loosen the 3 screws by the ebrake and one on each side mine are right by my cup holders, you can't see them ,they have little plastic inserts just pop em out and take the screws out.that will allow you to move it freely, push it backwards with your ebrake on and kinda wiggle it out ,not to hard, just make sure you let the paint dry for a few hours or even a full day it's tricky getting it back in,i chipped mine ina few spots.fairly easy though, good luck.
