Blue with red reminds me of X-mas (same with red and green). Blue and white reminds me of smurfs. I'd stick with blue, to match exterior color. Or purple, if its not too feminine for you.

What about a dark orange? With yellow, I think bright colors contrast against each other.

maybe a satin black or Blue Hyacin I think they might go well with your blue exterior

Jaylibby... just wanted to say that blue looks good. It almost matches the exterior colour, which is a definite plus in my books. Keep trying and everything will get easier.
Ya can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. Don't worry about messing up too badly, especially with this mod. There's not really much serious damage you can do. The worst that happens is you get a new piece from the dealer and snap it in.

That pic on page two is VERY light. The color matches perfectly actually. here are some more pics of what i have completed today. I am very happy with how things are going. 4 bucks for one can of paint... Okay, so the reason I have not done the top half is because i cannot find a tape that will stick to my dash in order to tape it off. Does anyone have ideas on other ways to "tape" off the edges? Honestly, what is everyones opinion on how it looks and how i am doing?

what kind of tape were you using? and it looks awesome! once you get tape and finish the top half I would leave the dash alone ....with the bubble painted and those two strips it is accented really well....then i would do that the door handles or just the rings and then replace the carpet like material on the doors with some matching blue vinyl

I tried three different types of tape. Masking, masking for hard to stick surfaces and duct. NONE would stick, they would just slide off. As for the door handles I want to do the rings but i cant seem to get them to budge... How would i get blue vinyl in there? How much does that cost? I Really really like that idea. -Jay

I did the same, and I noticed that they are hooked into the car door deeper than where we can get to by a blue cord. Prolly the opening... "mechanisim"?

The door handles have to be removed from the interior of the door frame, I think. Possibly somewhere between the inside door and weatherproofing? There is the one screw that is right in the middle of the handle on the interior, but there must be some sort of latch or something that is somewhere inside the door frame. Just a thought, I haven't actually tried it.
Jaylibby - I think the accents you've done compliment it really well. It's not too much and overly gaudy like some people try to do, very nicely done.
I like what you did to the engine cover. Did you tape off the "Etec" emblem with normal masking tape?
Also, try blue painters tape to tape off the upper dash. I've found that it's more expensive than masking tape or green painters tape, but it tends to stick to shiny, flat surfaces a lot better.
Edit: Just a thought on the carpet area on the doors, as well. I know I'm rambling, sorry. I've heard of some dye that other people have used to accent the headliner, etc. and it might work for you to dye the doors. I'd search for you, but... I just got off a 10-hour shift and I'm exhausted. Just so you know, it can be done though.
