Id scuff em, clean em, prime em, paint em, clear em. The more you do the better it will look and the more durable it will be. But dont go to heavy on the coats you dont want to create build up because then the parts wont fit back on.

yeah you can do that, if you go that route make sure to use a adhesive remover, or a grease and wax remover.

I've painted interior pieces on cars before- it is best to scuff or sand them as part of the process- doing so gives the paint more to bite on to...otherwise, more of a chance of flaking or chipping easy, and then fixing it leaves it looking like crap.

All you have to do is ask me , I have done my interior more then ANYONE here, Clean, scuff, paint, clearcoat. And yes use a plastic form paint. www.cardomain.com/ride/648334. These are old pics, I have also done the center console, glove box, air bag cover, and lower section where the hood release is, as well as little things like blacking out the ash tray and cup holders. Also I really like what I did with my spoiler, painted it black to accent the yellow

Yeah denis thats why I stated taking all those steps to make it more durable, plus it will look better. I say do it right the first time to prevent you from having to do it again in the future. Just my $.02
