Works for me.....thanks alot aveoike! Ill have to do this over winter when I park my car. Luckily I work at a dealership that has a decent bodyshop, Ill prob. just have them do it, or at least have them clear em for me. Spray bombing clear is hard to get even coats, plus I dont think its as good.

yea hopefully my dad is prolly gonna make me buy replacement ones first incase it doesnt go right because he is paying for the car..... thats y i havent gotten my headlight housing painted black but maybe i can convince him becuse i think it would be sweet with my red aveo....kinda going for the red black look maybe with a little carbon fiber later but i will post pics if i get it done "Tools: > Masking tape > VHT Niteshades Transparent Black Spraypaint > Clearcoat > 1000 - 2000 grit sand paper Steps: 1. Mask everything around the taillights. 2. Spray desired darkness with VHT Niteshades. 3. Apply 2 coats of clear coat spray. 4. Let it settle for 2-3 days. 5. After settling, wet sand the taillights. 6. Apply another 2 coats of clear coat. " i figured i just post it here for people to lazy to click the link and people were having problems with the link

Are you going to remove them then mask em and spray em or are you gonna do it with them on the car? I think it would be alot easier if you removed them.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I got the silverstar turn signals and they look bad ass in our clear housings, I kinda want to keep that look. I think it would look cool to leave the reverse and turn signals clear. It would look more stock IMO. Maybe Ill do some photoshopping to see how it would look.

Wouldn't it be smarter to paint the inside then you wouldn't risk having the paint chip/scratch? You could also forget about the clearcoat like that too.

if you go to that link and look at patricks tc its painted on the outside.... this is better for two reasons 1. it actually covers the red up so you see the black better 2. you dont have to break the seal on the light because once you do you run the risk of leaks with water cause not matter how u seal it up it wont be as good as before(same thing applies to ur headlights)
so its your choice. you can paint the inside and itll just be tinted a lil and ud see the red because the red would be on the outside and then you would ruin ur lights if water was to get in
