I wish someone would take mine and leave its charred remains far, far away from me. I really want to like the car, but it's turning out to be a steaming pile of crap.
I sure didn't want to make 5 years of payments on the equivalent of a 10-year old KIA with 200k miles. (Had one as a company car and it ran better than this Aveo with 42k miles).
Well, at least it's a real head-turner with all the squeaks, crunches from the crappy 1972 Gremlin suspension to the howl of the engine with unresolved timing belt issues that's racing 'cause the transmission won't upshift.
Steal my car -- please! I'll provide an address.

i think people r just frustrated with how retarded chevy is with this car....other companies take small cars and put big engines in them for example: civic Si hatch, the new scion xa 2.0, golf gti and others....small cars with big engines and turbos = speed and thats what most young people want. i mean i know chevy wants to appeal to the grandmas driving our car, but they could keep the 1.6 for the grannies and make an ss edition for younger people...but w/e chevy lose

Dam seems as if u really hate the car. Could it really be that bad? It's in the shop again right now to replace the timing belt/tensioner that started acting up at 38k miles. If not under warranty, it's a $490 repair. Normal replacement is every 60k miles. Still no fix for the suspension -- the dealer advises new lower control arms. The auto trans hesitates to upshift after a hill and the windshield just cracked after getting hit with a grain of sand (literally). All I want is a reliable, economical car to use for work. This could be the most expensive vehicle I've ever owned if this keeps up -- parts are hard to come by and repairs are pricey compared to other cars.
