Right now I am at 118.9 dB's... good enough for me.
I am going for a clean sounding system mainly for Metal/Hardcore.
Heres what I'm running.... Pioneer DEH-4600 Infinity Kappa (All Around) Infinity Kappa 10.7T 1" C.M.M.D Dome Tweeters Kicker KX200.4 )200W RMS)(to power the Kappa's) Infinity Basslink II (200W RMS)
The world record is 177.6 dB's according to a CNN article i read a while ago.

yeah I love my Kappa's. I'd definatly recommend them.
Im in the process of sound deadening my whole car. I just did one layer on the trunk floor (where the spare wheel goes) from left over Fat-Mat that i used in my old car.
But i think im gonna try this other stuff off ebay called "b-quiet" Its 100 sq. ft. for $200. I'll do one more layer on the trunk floor then I want to do the rest of the car (The whole floor, all the doors, and the roof.
So my decibals should go up a tad and i'll have a quieter ride too.

Thanks for the info on getting it at wally world. I went and got the meter today and (from the driver seat) the highest I hit was 128.6dB and average 127dB. Still needs tuned. I want to check the Buicks exhaust tommorow.

Having a hatchback does help, and I have 2 JL Audio 12W3v2's and 2 JL Audio 500/1 amps.
