OK here's what I'm wondering. I have an 07 Cobalt and an 07 Aveo. I was wondering if the wire harness are the same... I have never taken the radio out of the Aveo so I have no clue what the back of that radio looks like. I know on the back of my Cobalt radio there are two wire harnesses that plug. I have extra cobalt radio that I want to put int he Aveo so it will have a CD player.

It's pretty easy to take out the radio in the aveo (assuming that you have a hatch, they're the same from 04 to 08 radio-wise... The two "pointy" pieces on the sides on the radio/empty tray come out pretty easy if you pry them on the bottom part (just be careful not to loose the clips) and then it's pretty self explanatory, just a few bolts. Or, an even easier solution, get on eBay and search for "aveo MP3" and many listings for stock MP3/CD player pop up and many of them have a picture of the back of the unit. Just compare that to your cobalt radio and you should be set. The only issue you might have is getting a code to unlock that stereo once it's installed, but, depending on willingness of your local dealer, you should be able to get the code to unlock it pretty easily. Having the VIN number of the car that the CD player came out of might be helpful too because your dealer might ask for it.
