I just had my 04' hatch in for a 60,000 mile service... front brakes, timing/serpentine belt, alignment = etc... There has been a rattling noise lately (be4 I took it in) when I first start the car, and the dealership says the the flex pipe rings are rusty... but no repair is needed. I checked online, and found some universal flex pipe rings, but they are all weld-on kits. Is there a flex pipe that can be attached with screw-clamps, or bolts??? Will a loose flex pipe cause the heater to crack??? It just seems to me that maybe the repair guy should have replaced it???
