Ever think the rear track on our vehicule is kind of narrow. I've got a trick for you gals and guys looking to modify the stance of the rear end on our t250 (gm chassis number). One way is to buy an eibach spacer kit for a honda civic (oh my god). The other way is to bye or take the back plate off the rear brake and fabricate a spacer of your own. Look at the end of the axle beam and make a jig. I recommend not going more than 6-7mm or you will need to change the stud on the hub bearing. I went all the way and made the spacer plates plus added an eibach spacer kit. The results are amazing even with the 15" oem alloy wheels on my 06 wave. Very nice and very slable with the added eibach lowering springs. An added 21mm on each side.

Ever think the rear track on our vehicule is kind of narrow. . Yes, it's about 2" narrower in the rear than the front. Supposedly more stable straight lines and adds understeer. I'm using TC Sports 1" spacers for each side. Careful if you get them though, cuz it says 26.4 mm hub but my 06 was more like 27.4 mm and I had to do a bit of machining.

Does anybody happen to know what the OE wheel offset is for the 07 aveo LS? I'm researching into squeezing 17"s in there... but might just go with 16"s. 17's might be overkill and heavy for the application but I found a nice 17" from GRAM lights at 17.5 lbs. Which I must say, is phenomenal for the price. Any insight from any 2nd gen aveo owners who has plus sized would be great.. thanks.

I am glad to drive my 04 AVEO again. I had to attend training in Richmond VA over the past 3 days. I used the Corsica because I got most of it's value during the past 3 years. Now back to MPG savings hopefully?

OK, I'm a newbie & can't see how to post into proper category, so I'll ask here. Does anyone know what differences are in '06/'07 engines vs. '04/'05? I really want to know if engine assembly (block & head) have same configuration (bolt-ons etc.). My '04 timing belt went & was repaired poorly (I'd like to shoot the mechanic), so it spit a piston (or what was left of it) out the front of the engine block. I want to put in a newer (lower miles) '06 or '07 engine if the engine assembly will fit straight in. I can move all the bolt-ons from the old engine, but would hate to get the engine & find the mounts or tranny interface was different. Anybody out there know the real deal on this?
