hi every one, i was sting in my car today waiting for some one, and had my volume on 20, then moved it up to 35, and my front driver speaker started to F up the base, ( my base was set to 100%) i switched to a song with less base, and it stoped, then switched to a song with more base then the first one and both front speakers started to F up. so i moved the sound to the back speakers and they played it with out F ing up. the sound is like sheet of paper in the wind, and it stops if i turn down the base.
is there a chance that i damaged my front speakers with to high of volume or too much base?

Heck ya! i had the stock stereo (the MP3 Player) and even 42 wasnt enough volume. I changed out the speakers while the stock stereo was still in the car, and it still sounded like crap. Once I added the subwoofer, it was a little bit better, and once i got the Pioneer MP3 player installed, the system sounds complete.

If you want the optimum sound out of your radio, then really don't want any bass playing through your mids/highs. You can connect an subwoofer to your setup and it will eliminate your bass problems, also when you connect a sub/amp to your system you will be able to set your bass to zero and still get solid bass through your subwoofer, just my 2 cents.....
