Hello everyone...
I'm new to the site, been lurking as an outsider...
I found a great head unit from Kenwood that seems to match the dash surrounding the stock location perfectly.
You'll need to use the factory bracket and ISO mount it in, but it shold look sweet...
I have a Clarion (cassette) single din ISO mounted right now running a 12 disc changer, but my wife missed the MP3 feature... and I'd like to add SIRIUS or XM... so....
This has the AUX inputs to add whatever, but hey a CD/Cassette/and MP3 from CD is sweet as is...
Plus this dude can change to several colors...
Here are the specs from Crutchfield... (I got mine used off ebay)...
» "Color Shock" dot matrix display
» plays CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, and MP3 and WMA files on disc
» plays
» CR-2 tuner with 18 FM/6 AM presets
» seek tuning
» full-logic cassette mechanism
» Dolby B noise reduction
» tape EQ
» System Q+ — 9 adjustable EQ curves; bass, treble, and midrange controls with adjustable centerpoints and "Q"
» SRS WOW (improves bass, focuses soundstage, and creates "3D" surround effect)
» CD changer controls
» auxiliary input
» two sets of preamp outputs
» rear preamp outs can be switched to subwoofer mode (activates level control and low-pass filter)
» clock
» wireless remote
» 22 watts RMS/50 peak x 4 channels
» CD frequency response 10-20,000 Hz
» CD signal-to-noise ratio 100 dB
» tape frequency response 40-20,000 Hz
» tape signal-to-noise ratio 60 dB
» FM sensitivity 9.3 dBf
Anyway, hope this is cool info for everyone... I'll post pics of the install...
BTW- I also have a Rockford Fosgate Punch 100ix (old school 350+ watts) amp pushing 2 isobaricly mounted JL 15-WO's in the back... with the factory seperates in the front running off deck power...
Again, I'll get pics up when all done!
p.s.-My kids named the Aveo "Artoo" or "R2" because they thought the factory alarm chirp sounded like R2-D2 from Star Wars... hence the name...
