To help you out Definitions of Infinite Baffle on the Web:
* An enclosure that is larger than the VAS of the driver, or, any baffle board where there is no path for the energy from the rear of the woofer to meet the energy from the front of the woofer. www.customautosounds.com/faq.html
* alternative term for a sealed speaker enclosure. Because the sound waves created by a speaker cone's rear motion cannot interact with those emanating from the front of the cone, the effect of the sealed box is akin to having a front baffle of "infinite" size, hence the phrase "infinite baffle." mixguides.com/studiomonitors/Basics/audio-glossary-basic-monitors/
* A loudspeaker which is constructed in a totally sealed enclosure so that it completely separates the sound radiated from its back. The opposite of a ported enclosure. www.dilettantesdictionary.com/index.php
* A speaker mounted in a board with no side or rear panels. Also called "free-air." Technically speaking, a speaker can be considered infinite baffle if it is in a sealed enclosure that is larger than the Vas of the driver. www.irex.com.hk/glossary.html For the visual learners out there an example of an IB system an example of a sealed enclosure Since I am in a funds crunch, I have designed an IB for the aveo and will let you all now how it turns out...Just wanted to know what everyone else thinks...

I think many people bought the vehicle for its "economy" and want better performance, there are a few who like BIG SPEAKERS lol

I think many people bought the vehicle for its "economy" and want better performance, there are a few who like BIG SPEAKERS lol i would be in that catergory because big speakers and systems mean more weight to lug around and frankly i can't really tell differences in the sound of systems so would benefit me....now if i was going show id hook it up with some nice speakers....plus its just more stuff inyour car that gives people a reason to steal it

Well, right now I have dual 10" woofers in a sealed box plus 6x9" speakers in boxes and they all fit under that stupid lil flap in the hatch. That's my theft deterrent system at the moment, woo!
However, when I get my windows tinted nice and dark and put a security system in I'm going to take that flap and the stock speaker mounts out completely. Should look good, if you plan on going "show" with your car. I don't, but I still like it.
