Anyone know how to put in a new CD player in the 2004 Aveo? How do I take apart the dash? what i will need? Should I try it myself or just pay to have it done.
Never done this before.
Thanks.

if you have never done it get help with it, the most important is that you have the proper harness

Thanks again. I found that out last night. when you buy the deck as long as it's over $100.00, they install it free. Im guessing I may have to pay for extra things so it fits? Im sure it wont just fit like a glove! Any good suggestions for a middle of the road CD player over $200.00 but below $300.00? This is my first car CD player I will be buying that was not stock. Thanks!

Alpine is good, most name brands...sony, pioneer, clarion are descent, and they will fit like a glove. We have whats known as a double DIN space in the aveo. There are some kick ass double din sizes that have cool graphic displays and put out at least 50w X 4, so you need to think speakers as well. the cheap-o stock ones wont handle that power. Have fun with it....
