Hey guys I joined this club cause my g/f is pretty serious about getting a 05 Pontiac wave sedan and i wanted to see the aftermarket for these cars. I personally have a 2000 Grand Am GT fully done so as soon as she buys this car, ill be working on it. The number 1 thing i noticed was the 103hp engine....weak. Other than intake and exhuast, what other options are there? Turbo'ing this engine isnt worth it so what do you guys suggest? The other thing was i want to change the tail lights, headlights and turn signals to either clear or black..where can i get these for a sedan? I see alot for the hatch but not sedan. For sure we will be getting lowering springs and rims and with a 4x100 bolt pattern, rims should be an issue. But springs are usually expensive and since i live in canada, they arent easy to come by either. Lastly, what are some of the serious problems with these cars? Her car has very very low miles so warrenty isnt an issue.
any help would be appreciated. thanks

I've always been a proponent of "lighter is faster" lose some weight on the car. lighter wheels and tires for a start. I like the "throttle by wire" on the Aveo here in the States. I assume it is the same for the Wave. It combined with the autotrans makes it pop off the line very competently. I have a feeling you can find smoked lenses for other makes than the Pontiac that will fit.
