Now that its dark out in the early AM on my way to work.....I cant believe how annoying the yellow glow from the 'passenger airbag is off' light is.
Is there a way to disable this warning?
what are other drivers thinking when they approach my car on a dark highway and see a glowing yellow light on the dash?? that my aveo has a check engine light on?
black tape will look cheesy.

While I agree that it's annoying too, 1) Do you really think people actually bother looking into your car as they drive past, and actually notice dash lights?? 2) Do you really care that much what they think??

In jettas the trick is to figure out what the resisitance of the airbag is (on the electrical connectors) and install a resisitor in line so that it tricks the module into thinking the airbag is present and functioning.
No idea if it works for GM.
These are 1996-99 cars that it works on as well. I have no idea about these newwer cars. It's possible that the module also tries to detect the "status" of the airbag or something else. Meaning that it expects a response from the airbag, in which case you'll need to fake all that, too.
