Anyone else tried to replace the back turn signals, and the side markers with LED bulbs? I just bought them off of superbrightleds.com, they go in perfect, look great, work perfect with 4 ways on, but using the turn signals alone it flashes. Aparently the flasher unit isn't LED compatible.. odd, cuz the flasher IS electronic, not the thermal older kind.. I switched my 95 GA to some LED bulbs, which had the thermal flasher, which I just switched to an electronic one from Canadian Tire, and it worked perfect.. I even tried the equivalant one from the store for the wave, but no luck.. basically the same as the stock one.. Am I missing something? Didn't think I would have to put the resistors in line with the bulbs... assuming I just need an LED compatible flasher unit, anyone know where to get one in SW ontario?

Just ignore that post.. went to another, more helpful part store, tried several ones, since a replacement one for these cars wasn't listed, and one kinda worked, and one worked perfectly.. So just a different flasher was needed...

can you supply a part number for those of us who'd like to swap too?

yep sorry.. meant to come back and do that.
This one is made by Tridon (available at Part Source,, or Canadian Tire.... in Canada) 3- terminal 12V model EP35 also has the number: 20-1045-0 so not sure which is the model number. He said it was the least popular one they sell around here.. and to save some hassle, do NOT attempt to use a round style one. They do fit in, but stick with the rectangle ones. The round one blew a few fuses on me in the parking lot..

I know it's been since 06, but this is a useful post... I just got one... can't wait to get home and try it... I have LED tail lights, LED side markers (long ones), bigger bulb in my front turn signal and the long turn signal bulbs are all turned off (removed) and it's painted over.

So I got home and tried it... same thing.. very fast flashing because most of the lights in the circuit are LED's... The one I tried was FL35 by Blazer, (not EP35 by Tridon) but it was exactly the same part number... 20-1045-0. So i took it right back to the store the next day and returned it. So now I'm waiting for LED Flasher Unit CF13GL-02 from www.superbrightleds.com... here's the link...http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=/specs/CF13GL-02.html it's the same pin readout as the original one in our cars, but should be timed, not fixed load... i will let you all know how it works when I get it... In my wife's 06 HHR I had to install resistors by rear LED turn/stop signals because the flasher control is built into the ECM...

so ur leds hyper blink?? what i did was add a regular 194 bulb. it slows it down. i just hid the light under hood and trunk. u have leds in front and back so ull have 2 add 2 reg bulbs 1 in front 1 in back. i think thats what ur tryin to do.

I could just add resistors that are designed to slow down the LED's... but if I can get a flasher relay - I would rather go with that if you know what I mean... That way no worrying about extra bulbs being visible... and no extra current being drawn. It is timed instead of fixed load...
