I ran over a loading ramp in my 08 SVM Aveo5. I replaced all 4 wheels and tires with same size tires. However, my low air alert is showing on the dash. What activates this? Is it something with the stock wheels?

it activates when theres different pressure levels in different wheels. did you check them?

I would say did you check to see if the new rims got the sensor put in.

I own a 2008 Aveo5 hatchback and recently put aftermarket 16" wheels on it. I also bought new Cooper 205/45/R16 tires. And now the low pressure light is always on. "pontiac1976" rhetorically asks above whether or not the sensors were put in...
I highly doubt that the guys who installed my tires on my wheels knew anything about putting in any "sensors".
How does one go about putting the sensors in the wheels/tires? I found a set of (4) sensors online for about $200, but they just looked like basic air valve stems... Is that the sensor?
Or, instead of spending $200, is there anyway that I can turn off the low pressure indicator light? Or have someone disconnect/remove the air pressure monitoring system altogether?? Is this something that a Chevy service/repair shop could do for me?

They should have bigger part that mounts in the inside of the rim . Can you post pic of the ones you got. I not sure all are on the same signal if they are there's few different types. but they cost more then the reg valves . Some bolt in on the valve some use a stainless steel strap that goes around the rim.

pontiac1976 -- you are correct. There is a larger square/rectangular piece at the base of the valve stems (which looks like where the electrical/computer-chip for the sensor would be). It also bolts into the rim.
If I got into the dashboard and removed the light bulb for the low pressure warning light... would this solve my problem? I don't need any warning light for my tire pressure. What do you guys think?

Yes if you are not useing it do not want to see the light that would work. " Take out the light bulb for it." ;D
