For me at least I like the board's format and speed...and all the information available on it is priceless for those like me that really like our Aveos...not for those that keep gripping and yelling "I should have bought an Honduh!!!" I have two Aveos and would suggest the site change issue should have been taken more seriously...information that for some is worthless is valuable for others. And for me our cars have potential...but everything just want to go to Pep Boys to buy bolt-ons and get their ricers done. Summary: No information here in the forum is worthless!!! appearantly you havent read half the posts on here...i wish people would help move the threads...

Sam, I just enjoy reading all posts, not only those ones that deal with extensive engine mods and such but little things that count to take good care of your investment, no car purchase should be classified as a small investment.
I recognize I read more Car and Driver and Motor Trend more than SCC (I'm 38) but I still have my collection of 1980's vintage SCC magazines (SCC was a quarterly mag then and 75% pics were black and white hehe..and of course if you want a part back then there was no Internet).
Anyway, don't want to put sand on any admin's face...is voluntary work and not everybody have the time and will to make things happen (I just wish to have more time to give a hand).
Maybe could be goos to just post a sticky in the AveoNet forum to refer any people with problems to this board; there is so many small tips here that could be lost.

Did a section containing to the threads info from here can be added to the new forum? Something like "Legacy Threads from Proboards".. it would be easier to find any info at since everything will be in a repository at one place.
I know...that will take time...no migration is easy!!

The new forum is witty and condescending while the old one is only good with numbers.

i thought id make useful post by respoding to these Yeah, I think the "powers" behind this coup....er, transfer to another site...should have just left and started a new site, and turned this site over to a new set of moderators. That would have seemed a more mature and responsible action. Instead, they hijacked it. What particularly gripes me is that the "powers" behind this are people who have basically given up on the Aveo. One noted in their excuse that The AmazingJ didn't even own an Aveo. So what? These guys would rather they DIDN'T OWN an Aveo. And have alluded to same more than once. They are not Aveo enthusiasts anymore. But they do seem to like being large and in charge. yeah i think they should keep both sites open, and yeah if you dont want to be driving and aveo, MAYBE you shouldnt be in control of a aveo website... but what can we do? nothing. oh well it was a nice board. im happy with my aveo as a daily driver, it does what it is suppose to.....just because i dont want to spend money on my own aveo doesnt mean i dont care about the aveo community....heck if i didnt care, i could just stop making CAi and telling people what kit is needed to make it if I didnt care, but i want something to happen with these cars....i constantly give ideas of little things you can do, but you guys have to run with the ideas....heck check out the new site and see who has copied most of the posts over while other people are just browsing and posting instead of helping...i could just be like eff it and not bother coping and pasting (which might I add is a pain in the @ss) any info and just let it get deleted but i do care about the information but i just didnt realize the fact about the info getting deleted if there is no activity on the site until precisionboost brought it to my attention....so dont say that I dont care about the aveo and the aveo community....

I created a new account on the other Aveo forum that many have been moving to. But I still like this site and the interface. Add my name to the list of supporters. I don't want this site to vanish.

I used to like how there was an 07 section where I was waiting on a reply but that section is now gone and there is no section on the new board for 07's..

I used to like how there was an 07 section where I was waiting on a reply but that section is now gone and there is no section on the new board for 07's.. because they are the same cars...the sedans body style just changed...there is no need for a completely different section...it would be like seperating up the groups into hatches and sedans

we were limited in the design of the site and everyone was tired of the curse word blocker... we can change whatever we want on the other site but here you get can change what they allow in the selection boxes

So other than a curse word blocker (which is not much of a restriction) all the other restrictions were for the admin/moderators. For the majority of us using the forum there really wasn't much of a restriction was there? I understand the other guys wanted to start a forum with new ideas and a new layout..... as I said many times..... I don't have a problem with that. My problem from day one was the way in which you guys treated this site by shutting it down without consulting the people on the forum. If you felt like putting all your time and effor into another site.... go ahead.... but you should have left control of this site to someone else... just like TheFlyingJ did for you guys. I'm still of the opinion that he left you guys in charge in good faith.... and then the power got to you guys and you figured you could simply eliminate this site. I have been scanning aveoclub.net on a regular basis and I think the current "CUT and PASTE" is completly unreadable.... you should at the very least change the color or bold the names of those who are posting... and their signatures should be left out. Perhaps now that you've been moving for a while now.... you probably realize how much of a pain it is to do all this and make it a format that's half ass readable.
