As we all know, it would be realllly nice to have a good looking arm rest for the long trips. In the 2007 Wave I test drove before I got my 06, it had an armrest, the same as in the picture below. In my 06, I can feel a circular hole in the padding on the side of where the armrest would go, but it is covered in fabric, so I can't see if whatever it attaches to is there in the seat. I assume the same difference is in the 06/07 aveo's etc.. Can someone else confirm this? If the spot is there to install a factory armrest, I would guess one could just order it as a part from a dealer..?? anyone got a contact or can get information on part numbers and prices for it?

edit: I'm refering to hatchbacks only btw, I don't know what the 07 sedan seats are like since the interior has changed....

oops.. wrong forum.. sorry.. can someone bump it over?
update.. the dealer can get the armrest here, it's $60 CAD. not too bad I guess... But their system here doesn't have the updated expanded pictures, so he isn't sure 100% if it can be put on or not.. So we are waiting till the system gets updated.. hopefully soon.. before I start cutting holes in the fabric...

I do believe the covers come off the seats, I thought I remeber seeing a zipper

The back seats in my hatch for sure have zippers.. But i didn't think the front ones did. I've got to investigate further, just been busy.. that woudl answer all my questions though  |

06 hatchback front seats do not have zippers.

yeah it was the back seats. sorry. if you look the 07 aveo 5 has that armrest. same seats

The armrest comes in the 07? The dealer looked at me like i was nuts. Told me the only thing he could find probably wouldn't work and was $85.
