Many in the J-body community (Cavaliers and Sunfires) are having the same plight as we are on aftermarket support, so they have gone ahead and had their own products made by finding fabricators willing to take a chance on something new. Well, I contacted one such fabricator and he, without hesitation, said they would be glad to build some products for the Aveo owners. www.rdfabs.com/The first thing they would offer is a mounting bar for racing harnesses, so that front seat drivers will have the correct geometry for a safe and usable harness type seatbelt. Key Points: -100% Stainless Steel -.120 Wall piping for the hardbar -3/8" SOLID ROD for the support braces -Fully polished -Harness retaining loops Now, ON WITH THE PICS!!! Other product possiblilties we talked about are a sub-frame support system, real cold air intake, strut tower brace, polished valve covers, and even exhaust piping pieces (REAL dual exhaust for the Razzi rear kit anyone?), they are even designing their own unique Lambo-door style hinge (in the near future). So let me know if you think I should pursue this for you all, or if its not worth my efforts. Also, anyone near NY Private Message me so I can arrange for possible test fitment (and you get what they test fit for a discounted price).

AveoSam... I am trying to find some performance boost for our cars, but so far they want to see how the community will respond to new products.
commuterspecial... they will be around $250 for a full setup. All I need to get it started is someone with an Aveo near Syracuse, NY for a few days.

Are these up to FIA, SCCA, or Rally America specs?

If you could get me a copy of the specs required I can have them built accordingly. This guy is going to design and fab these JUST FOR US, so let's get on this all who want them.
Still need a test vehicle in the Syracuse, NY area, or willing to go there for a few days

Still haven't recieved a copy of the rules required to make these bars up to race specs...or a volunteer in the NY area...
Guess that's why we don't have aftermarket support... no one follows through.

Easier to mount the harness to a cage, though... so I no longer have any interest in this.

I think a strut tower bar and a front lower subframe connector are a great idea. I have a front lower subframe connector which I kinda threw together and the difference in handling is amazing. I'm rather sensitive to chassis flex though (aka the 5th spring)

All I need to get ANYTHING started from these guys is a test car that's willing to spend a day or two in Syracuse, NY.
PM me if interested.
