well my newest project for my aveo is some custom door sills covers....i started getting the shape of the front sill today....im thinking that I will probably make them out of bodyfiller or something i can just find in my garage....then if I can get a little bit of carbon fiber ill wrap them in that, but if that doesnt work ill just end up painting them black...after i chose what i am gonna cover then with Im going to put little decal on before i clearcoat it....i havent decided what to put under the clear yet though....here are a few ideas: plain old AVEO on all four sills; or AVEO on the back ones and Type-X on the front ones; or AVEO on the back and Rev-X on the front....im leaning towards my cars badging as Rev-X because rev for revolution and X for crossover and Im thing i can make the X look like a DNA helix

honda has their type-R and S, and i figured once the aveos get modified they should have some type of badging instead of LT or LS....so I came up with Rev-X ...its unique.....plus i started debating starting a little company that would make stuff for the aveo that would use Rev-X as the logo...as for the company i was thinking of just making a few grounding kits, CAI, and other simple stuff (just an idea tho)

That sounds like an interesting idea. But it may border on the rice. However, I would buy products that are badged with an Aveo specific name.

Ryan i assume i could come up with a AVEO decal and Rev-X decal go that the customer could chose which they would wnat....(remember this is just brainstorming....i dont have the funds to start anything yet) ...anyways as soon as college work isn't taking up all my time ill be working hard on these door sills. should turn out pretty hot

i had few spare minutes tonight in between dinner and homework....so i tried making a carboard template of one of the front sills. well i get the basic shape and what not then i realized it was going to be a pain to try and bend the carboard with the curves in the sill...so i can up with another method that might work...first i am goin to cover the sill area with tracing paper or something i can see through and make sure i get all the curves down....the i just apply body filler( or what ever it is that is in my garage that hardens) to the area in the shape of the sill and then let it harden and apply more layers to create watever thickness i feel is good...and hopefully when that is all done i can wetsand or sand it to smooth it flat and in the shape of that outlined sill area. theoretically it should work...right?

aight change in my plans again...lol...instead of it being a seperate piece and having to worry about the sills falling off, i have decided to instead sand the sill areas smooth and then just paint that area black with a decal over top, then clear it......the wet sanding is a pain in the butt tho almost got one done

both of the front sills are finished from being wet sanded...pictures will be up on my cardomain today...also i think im just gonna keep it simple and just do aveo as the decal in the same lettering from the rear badge, that way i dont have to worry about it looks rice

no, not sarcasm, being honest, i like all the creative things youve done since there is not real aftermarket for our cars, i like the ideas and all and the Rev-X as the aveo aftermarket thing, so yeah
