If you dont upgrade the wiring and plug you WILL ruin them. I had 80w bulbs in my Probe and they fried my connectors.

Yes you will fry the connectors without a upgrade, 60w max on the Aveo

Pull them out. Nobody makes a upgrade kit for the Aveo yet!

You can buy a universal H4 HID kit, but why? I dont think it makes sense to spend 300-600$ on lights.

In order to have TRUE HID( cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7984954449&category=36476 ), you need a kit. Those "HID" knock offs that are swarming the market are not real HID. But you can get HID knock offs anywhere. Just type in xenon H4 on ebay and look. If you want the best, go with PIAA's otherwise choose and buy. Cheap bulbs are just that and prob. wont last long, and may have poor light output.

Denis go to Canadian tire (or you favorite auto parts store) and order something similar to the Silverstar bulbs at CT.
The builbs cost about $28.00 each but are quality (not blue) brighter bulbs.
You can get cheaper bulbs which may be brighter but they won't last as long and may bot be much brighter.
I installed a set and I really like them are dark roads. Excellent visibility.
