Does anyone know of a company that is making a disk break conversion kit for a 2006 aveo? I put on some really nice 17" wheels and the rear drums look stupid. I will send pictures tomorrow.

Thanks for your reply. Do you know what chassis they used or if I could use another chevy cars rear disks. Anything close so that I can make them work. I have access to a machine shop with cnc's. If it all works out I will make a few more for other members. Just need to know what rotors might work so I can start looking to make it work. Thanks guys for all your help.

There is a fellow on Daewootech making rear disk conversions for the Lanos.... the Kalos/Aveo is not much different.
He uses a Saturn rear end.... haven't tried it myself.... I will be using genuine Opel parts for my rear disk conversion.

SSBC makes a disc brake conversion for the 2006 Cobalt. It's the same 4 x 100 bolt pattern as the aveo. To be able to use it, you have to have someone with a wet cutter cut out the outside diameter of the disc brake kit and the inside diameter to match the Cobalt wheel bearing set. Use the Cobalt wheel bearings, and leave some slack to heat and bend the backing plate you make.(the spacing is different.) It's a complicated heat, bend, and cut, but if it was easy, everybody would have it. (eat that cookie cutter honda punks)
