okay these are the rims that i like, but the only bad thing is that they are 26.6lbs. each. I really did not want to exceed 20 lbs., but its hard cause i dont really like the light weight wheel looks. so am i gonna notice a HUGE difference in like excelleration, MPG, handling between 26lb and 15/20lb wheels? If this has already been discussed, please just give me the thread.. i couldnt find a good one.

it will take longer to stop, and it will take longer to accelerate

dont do it...i made the mistake of not considering weight of wheels when i bought and mine are like ~25 lbs....you can feel a difference in acceleration but my gas mileage is better than stock wheels...I imagine with a lighter 17" wheel you will get even better gas mileage

Heavier wheels wheel give signifigantly less low speed acceleration and gas milage.
If you do mostly highway driving it really shouldn't matter all that much. Under the thinking that it's easier to increase rotational speed once it's already rotating.
This isn't to say that it's easier to stop the rotation, however.
A heavier wheel should and will get you up a hill easier (starting at speed) than a lighter wheel, though. Momentum is a wonderful thing.
You need to think about the kind of roads and driving you'll be on. Sure, a heug lightweight wheel in a 40sidewall tire is great for emaculate roads, but if you're seeing a lot of potholes and uneven road surface, I'd much rather go for durability regardless of weight.
I still think a 13x7 wrapped in a 225/65R13 would be best ;D

exodus' post helped me a lot. I am doing about 60% highway 40% city so maybe weight wont matter tooo much, but i think ill choose to get a little lighter wheels... these are the other ones i like.... they are only 20.7 pounds for 17" and 17 pounds for 16" wheels. i think 17's look better but if i get the 16's the tires will protect te rims a little better. sooo i think you guys helps me make my decision. 16" wheels with probably 215/40R16 tires unless you guys recommend 205/40R16.

how much do the 13x7 weigh? Hard to find them. Once I do, unless they weigh 50lbs each I won't really care. Durability is the goal.
