Anyone know what they make the calipers etc. of? the rotors have some rust on them from sitting in the lot, but the calipers and drums still look fine. Maybe some kind of ionized steal? I just want to know if they will rust or not becuase they are visible with my aluminum wheels, and will paint them before rusting if they will..
thanks J

corosion on rotors is normal, it'll come off while driving.
I have over 30k miles of combined winter and summer driving... my calipers show no sign of corosion... and if they did, I'd be at the dealer demanding new ones.

usually, at least in previous generations of vehicles the calipers rust.. one reason why most peopel paint them when visible.. these look like different metal though.... <<Srhug>>
