I can install a variety of things on my car but my lowering springs I don't do...heres why...you need a spring compressor and I recommend a good one, not a cheap 40 dollar one. springs have a lot of tension in them and if you weren't to do it right it could fly off the compressor at 600 ilbs of force and that would definitely hurt somebody or damage the hell outta whatever it hit. The install is usually less than the price for a good spring compressor--provided you don't get ripped off. I have a lowered aveo with the h&r springs...nice springs they lowered my car quite abit...about 1.8 inches, i also have 15s and i have not gotten any rubbing or bump stops... since they don't offer performance shocks and struts yet you'll be putting your oem ones through a little wear an tear but i took the risk because the car just plain looks like a mini mini van without lowering it and rims on oem springs would look mega stupid... also if you take it somewhere for the install, if you're alighnments good dont bother asking for one or say no if they tell you, you need one, they'll probably take advantage and try and rip you off cos you can't reallign the aveo after the drop ..it doesn't have camber settings just the toe...so just reallign it when it needs it.

I cant find lowering springs anywhere.. without them being like $1000. Is there any other compatible springs or coilovers that will fit on the aveo to drop it about 3 inches? I heard mustang but i dont wanna risk it.
