Does it matter if you don't get a cat-back exhaust but instead only a 2.25" pipe from the flange just in front of the daewoo resonators?
I'm probably going to go or a 6" round magnaflow/tip and then get one of their resonators as well.

Going from the exhaust backwards toward the cat(motor) there are the resonators in the middle of the exhaust system. right. Actually you can see it in your video on www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_EhxJHRu3s. Its just before your resonator. My reason is that the flange is a convenient place to put a new exhaust(muffler + resonator), I can't see why you can't start there. Are you going to sacrafice that much power by doing that?

actually that was where the first shop started the exhaust i had them do. i wanted a catback but they tried to cheat me by doing it from there and calling it a catback, so i paid less then what they wanted me to and went to another shop where they finished it all out. But I did feel the power difference when it was started there, so yes you can do it and you'll get more power but not as much as a true catback or full exhaust

That's what I was thinking. I think I've seen that called a bolt on muffler somewhere(I think Honda).
The exhaust pipe coming from the cat will still only be 1"7/8, so the amount of exhaust coming directly from the engine will be the same as having the oem exhaust. The ony difference will be that after that flange the exhaust will rush out.
