How to put on a pcv breather for 04/05 Aveo
Tools: Allen wrench Pliers Vaccum plugs
I used a $10 APC breather from Advance Auto
1- Turn off car 2- Open hood 3- Remove engine cover screws 4- Remove coolant lines from brackets 5- Remove oil cap 6- Remove engine cover 7- Replace oil cap to prevent anything from falling in 8- Use pliers to remove clamp at air intake 9- Use pliers to remove clamp on pcv 10- Remove hose from air intake 11- Cap off the air intake line/tube 12- Remove hose from pcv (very tough) by pulling straight up 13- Place breather on and secure with hose clamp 14- Remove oil cap 15- Replace engine cover 16- Replace oil cap 17- Replace coolant lines 18- Replace engine cover screws 19- Make sure PCV breather is on good

Won’t it be easer disconnecting the tube from the intake side, close of the opening in the intake, and just attach the filter on to the tube?

that's basically what it says to do. but you had to remove the tube to the intake or else the breather is just going to be bouncing around. I tried doing it without removing the cover, but it wasn't working very well, it went a lot better after I removed the engine cover
