nitrous is great for you drag racers... but you're forgetting one thing... drag racing isn't the only racing out there.

nitrous isn't really the cheapest, in fact super charger or turbo charger are actually cheaper IN THE LONG RUN. Yes you can get power from nitrous for $600 ($200 used) with nitrous, but you got to remember one thing, refills.Refills are about $4 a pound, and most bottles used are 10lbs bottles, so $40 a refill, and if you have to fill twice a month you're spending $80 a month. But with a turbo or s/c, once it's done it's done, no refill cost. And also nitrous is illegal or really frowned upon in a lot of communities
But to play devils advocate, nitrous can more easily be removed then a turbo/sc

Maybe, but if you pick up a used NOS kit or piece one together you can do it for under $200. Even running a huge shot in the past I only went thru a bottle a month. But the majority of that was at the track or weekend nights, not all day-everyday. Plus I had enough hp from the engine to be happy driving around anyway. God I miss my F-body!

nitrous is good and will work great if set up right(apparently RoRo dodnt set set his up right sadly), but i would perfer the always there power that the turbo would give. as for an engine swap, i have read up on it some and while some people say its a bolt in swap it sounds like others say wiring is a nightmare. and i have A/C on my car, i'm not sure if i could keep the it or how much of a problem it would be. i guess i just see nitrous as a "quick fix" instead of going all the way to make the car permanently faster.
