maybe the 1.6 will see a 10-15hp increase to the wheels. Would be nice....but in no way will you see 10-15hp at the wheels with an UDP on this engine. If so, I would like to see the Dyno numbers. Also Ive been a little weary on UDP's ever since my buddy put one in his Neon R/T, and ended up f'n up one of his cylinders because it threw off the harmonic balance.

the 1.6 was originally designed by lotus at 150 hp, daewoo detuned it. check out the daewootech.com site. all you need is to make a good CAI get a header, and a full exhaust, and remap the d**n ECU(which i'm still working on, can't find anyone to do it my try a piggyback like a safc) and u should be able to get close to 150 hp, also I heard u can get a bigger throttle body off of a 2.0 daewoo engine, bolts right up. Oh yeah good luck getting cams. only ones I found were in korea at $500 USD a piece. that is crazy! That's not crazy, that's inline with all other billet cams for 4 cylinder engines. Honda DOHC cams are NOT cheaper, just more choices. If anything they are $50-100 more than most Honda cams and until the Aveo or other Daewoo's prove popular to modify, more market competiton, then the price will go down a bit. But until then, get used to paying more for fewer parts. Just ask anybody about the aftermarket for a non-mainstream car.

There alot of Neons with pullies and it doesn't hurt anything. Including mine - 98,000 on the clock

Though the UD pulleys always sounded like a cheapo bolt on, to me. Maybe it could play into the overall picture, but you're not going to see much until the engine is "complete." I'm still holding out on touching anything HP/TQ wise on mine until a full cupkit comes out. The last thing I need is more power. Right now I need shocks, springs, and sway bars. And I'll be shucksed if I'm going to toss either the H&Rs or the apexis on the stock struts/shocks.
