I've been tempted withe the echarger but am afraid of not being happy But I also agree on the nitrous like a 50hp shot somthing that would be fairly reliable. One way or another to get some good decent power out of our cars we are going to need to exit the naturally asperated realm but what the heck man I would sure be nice to compete with somthing with say 250 - 300hp in a larger car and see the look on buddys face when he can't get rid of you and not only that but it even gets better when you think of the fuel consumption difference of the two cars. we need to find somthin

Nothing, it would just be nice to free up some of the only power that the little etec makes. I think it would help quite a bit.

I was reading a article in Import tuner magizine about a scion xa (you know, the hathback model, not the box ) and they stroked the stock 1.5 dohc 108hp motor to 1.7 and made over 100 hp!!that's only a .2 stroke increace!! they added head studds,a block guard, shot peened the stock rods for strength, and micro polished the crank shaft and that's it!!!then they added turbo and a few other item's to get it over 300hp!!And as if that were not enough, they then added a 75 shot of n.o.s. to it. So if they can do that to a stock 1.5L dohc motor only making 108 hp imagine what we can do with our 1.6L dohc that only makes 103 hp!!!! your only limited by your imagination. (and a little money).

H&R are reputible, not quite to par with afco or eibach. I am still trying to find out the specs such as bounce/rebound, compression weight and coil count, so you supposed people that got PROPERLY done springs should be able to post that info, so others can go to a supplier of there choice and get the springs done, For those that over look the geometry of the front suspension and just pop in any old springs are asking for trouble, bump steer, camber and toe need to be considered or you will unevenly wear tires and put stresses on drivetrain parts. for anyone that has looked at the popsicle sticks that we call a driveline will understand the reason to do this properly. So if you have lowered springs post the specs unless you just got some cut spring and are just to embarassed to tell the truth.

360 dynamics is making a underdrive vrank pulley for the 1.6 engine. they made one for the 2.0l and it incresed 20HP to the wheels so maybe the 1.6 will see a 10-15hp increase to the wheels. Also the prices I think is supposed to be around 160 USD. Check out daewootech.com and in the 360 dynamics forum. Check out underdrive forum

thanks brian that's what i'm talkin bout. All the accessories really put a strain on the little rice destroyer and an underdrive pulley would be most beneficial to this car other than the intake and exaust of air.

Any update on the E-RAm? Have you tried it yet? these "inline" or "electric superchargers" come in minivans... enough said... other than a turbo caravan, when have you ever seen a minivan with good acceleration?
