if im going to boost my car, i will go with superchargers, caz you get power though the wholl RPM range, and there is no torbo-leg.
why do you guys want turbos insted of superchargers?

whatever your little heart desires i dont really know the pros/cons, i know people who have blown head gaskets with a supercharger and i know there are a lot of problems with turbos too but hey if you do it either way, more power to you

denis you need to learn a little more about cars before you do any type of boosting..theres plenty of research to be done....and turbo would get you more power than a supercharger could

i know that, but the turbo also kicks in at higher rpm, and there is turbo lag, plus it creates more heat, uses engine oil, which will have to be changed more often, and you lose most of low end torque, and this car will be is and will be my daily driver.
a supercharger on another hand creates less power, but also less heat, does not need engine oil to cool it and give you smoth power in every RPM.

if its ur daily driver and your worried then dont boost..... wat kinda supercharger are u gonna use since the dont make one for the aveo? i mean u could use a centrifical supercharger(which is the only kinda u can find for our car) but as u may not know that also needs oil.....look at the poll man

Aveosam no hard fealings but, I know that I am not the only one on our site that thinks your opinions are a little to harsh. Try to tone it down a litltle, and I dont mean on just this thread. We are all here talk to eachother, not to argue.

give credit where credit is due, i too am harsh. I don't think it is really harsh. Denis always seems to have a question, which is fine. It is the problem that whenever someone gives him a reasonable answer, he opposes it as much as he can and pretty much says hes going to do what he planned on in the first place. This is also fine, but why bother asking the question if you already have your answer, it does create arguments and it always will, it does in other forums, and its not just aveosam that is fed up with it i am sure. Thanks Craig

I don't see how Aveosam's reply was harsh. He just told it like it is with facts.

there are some thing i will never agree with, but others like when you told me that the intake shuld not be 1/8 of an inch, i agreed with you, and will make it 1/16th, but went you sugested to not make any bends, and just buy conectors, i will not agree, becouse that taking short cuts and it will be better done with metal, the difrence in preformance will not be big if any, but diffrence in price will be, i can buy 2 ft of stainless steel pipe for the same price of a 1 silicone conector.

i just like to say that i never said to not make any bends but to buy a pipe that was already bent at 45 degrees because that is wat u need to make it to the hole...u wouldnt only need a connector for the second half of the CAI because werent u making it a short ram and a cold air intake? unless u weld one entire intake and try a fish it down a whole it barely fits into....and what about the airflow sensor?
