Hi All,
Just bought a 2007 Swift+, it's my first new car EVER. After 20 years of owning beaters and wondering when the next catastrophic failure is going to wipe out my bank account...it's a nice change.
I am truly impressed with the fit and finish of this vehicle. It's like it's made from a solid piece of metal, not a squeak anywhere. It's not going to win any drag races but it's a blast to drive and gets great mileage. My 300 CDs full of MP3s are finding it a nice home, sound system is purty darn good.
Many thoughtful touches in design and styling...I guess I'm preaching to the choir a bit....but I really love this car.
My only complaint is a bit of orange peel on the hood paint.

Hey, welcome to the group. Good to have someone else who is excited about the positives of the little Aveo. I've been hovering around here for quite some time, and it has been my observation that most Aveo owners seem to think they should have gotten 20K worth of car with their 9 to 12K Aveo. (In other words, a whole lot of whining about its shortcomings - unreasonable expectations.) Personally, I was looking for a Reasonably quiet, Reasonably comfortable, Reasonably efficient car to get me from point A to point B with Reasonable dependability......at a GREAT price. Fact is, I feel like I got MORE than expected. I have NO trouble entering and keeping up on the highway. My Aveo seems comfortable and roomy. I especially like the high seating. With my bad knees, most cars are way to low. You just step in and step out. I don't pick cars as an extension image (real or wished for). For me........It's a machine. Period. To do a particular job. Period. And the Aveo does that job reliably and economically. Period. I've nearly 100k on my red 2004 and, come Spring, expect to trade it in on the 2008 model. ;D

Thanks, I just went on a 2500 km road trip and it was mighty sweet. Even hit 150 km'h at one point! So smooth I didn't even realize I was going so fast until I noticed the trees whipping by a little wuickly....
