hey i have a 2007 hatchback too, this is my second aveo, last one was a 05 hatch. as far as regearing the tranny, i think i've seen custom gear ratios for sale on the intimadator website, but i'm not sure. i dont know if it would be a good idea for a daily driven aveo, it already seems to buzz a little on the highway, it would be really reving high on the interstate.

Never again would I go all motor. All motor costs an arm and a leg and you get slight gains at best. You have 106hp now? With intake, full exhaust, cams you will have like 130hp if you have full stand alone fuel management you might get 160hp on race gas. Then port the throttle body, intake manifold, cylinder heads, 180hp? Huge huge huge waste of money, instead invest in a turbo manifold get a small used turbo like a ko3 from a golf, jetta, etc or a 14b from an eclipse/talon set it to like 6-7 lbs of boost and then some sort of piggy back like s-afc or greddy e-manage I bet you make just as much power with hardly any lag and fraction of the cost. If you go all motor your car wont make any power until 5,000 rpms if you go small turbo you will make full boost under 2,500 and have a much fatter power curve.
