Yeah but did you see the New Echo Sport hatchback with all the TRD stuff from Toyota. Yes looks like Toyota is going to pass up GM on small cars. Toyota always listens to what customers want, GM is a bunch of idiots, still no plans for aftermarket parts for the Aveo, OH hold on yes a Bra for the front, yes that's a great aftermarket part. i think gm needs to get in gear with a performance aveo, ar a package the we can buy, at least an intake and exhaust and stuff, please, just give us what scion started out with, id like a super charger, just thorw the aveo a bone!!!! of course then i think that to gm the aveo is just a small entry level car and spending too much on it might not be in their best interest financially since alot of ppl buying them are just getting cheap transportation...but then i think it worked for scion....who knows what tomorrow holds..

Nope, we don't think we're "hip or something". I mean.....we're talking about an Aveo!! LMFAO! We buy them because they are cheap, easy on gas, roomy inside, sit higher (to save our bad knees), quiet and comfortable. We also don't spend wads of cash trying to turn this modest little car into some kind of hotrod. LOL! That's just so funny. Driving an Aveo in an attempt to be "hip"........

Reply to MRfrost: I also am an older person (Retiree) who purchased Aveo because of features and price, where else can you get a comfortable car at a reasonable price with Automatic trans, AAir Conditioning, power steering, power brakes, Am Fm mp3 radio, Interval wipers, rear wiper, Cruise control, plenty of room for 5 people, useable cargo area when you don't need the 5 passenger seating.Plus more that I can't remember! I have had the car since November of 04 and love it, get 33 MPG city and 43 MPG on trips with Automatic transmission. I have had ONE problem with the car, and it was a tire with a bulge on sidewall which was replaced no charge. Now have 10,000 miles still no problems, never had a new car that was as troublefree as this! Us older drivers buy for Value, not prestige. DRIVE ON!

if i ever get the opportunity to buy one, im drawn more to the history, and design rather than the "hip" factor. they are the coolest entry level car i can think of at these prices, and the fact that they were designed in italy, built in korea, bought buy a japanese AND and american car company (speaking nothing of gm's stock in suzuki... ), just makes them interesting from a historical point of veiw. although id be a liar if i said i ddnt wanna turbo charge one, just because i sort of take japans philosiphy on this one, because if u notice, in japan, they tune EVERYTHING, avery thing from wee small delivery trucks, to 1200 hp skylines, and in that tradition, id love a 700 hp aveo

700 hp is unreasonable but you could get a decent amount with a engine swap and a better tranny....oh yes and money too....so down the road when i actually have a job and the warranty runs out this car is getting major engine and drivetrain upgrades
