The same night I got my yellow aveo5base, I was driving back to the funeral home where I work and live... Being the first car at a lighted intersection, what pulled up next to me??? A YELLOW AVEO5BASE!!! I felt so cheated... and if i had more than 500 miles on the odometer I would have smoked the fool.

cool. u know the odds of that are not high either, i have YET to pull up next to a red old beetle, and i have had the one im in for a few months, and thats the most commonly sold car in the world, so the fact that an identical one pulled up next to you is way cool.

Hehe 'Bout a week ago I was going to pick up a friend of mine when a blue Aveo hatchback pulled up behind me. Not a word of a lie, I actually thought to myself, "How the hell can I see the front of my car in my rear-view?!" ;D Ended up playing leap-frog around town with it for about an hour untill I realized I was supposed to be picking up my friend.... I'm still appologizing!

The aveo is a featured rental car for Enterprise, in your bigger citys its nothing to see Aveo's all over the place. I was just in Vegas staying at the Statosphere and i must have seen 10 Aveo's driving up and down LasVegas Blvd., all but two had rental car stickers on them.

The whole thing kinda reminds me of when I used to drive a Jeep wrangler... same type of greeting
"Its a jeep thing, you wouldn't understand"

I saw two Aveos on the road today in Cleveland! First time in a week since I bought mine I finally got to see some on the road! We did the beep and wave thing! I think they were just as excited to see mine on the road!
Its kind of cool to see one right next to you cruis'n at 70mph for the first time!

I thought that I would have a less common colour aveo. My silver hatchback was the only one I have seen in the city When I took it for a test drive. since then, I have seen at least 6 others that I know are different ones. I can tell by the rims, spoiler and sunroof, things like that. So, to make mine different, I removed the bowtie from the front of the car. A couple months back at work, I parked. I was taking a friend out for lunch and I walk right up to what I thought was my car and hit the button on the key. Nothing. turns out there are three silver hatch owners that work at my work. Heck, one of them is in my department. So we have a 2004 and two 2005's. I still like seeing aveos, swifts, waves and the rare Kalos on the road around town.

In Pine Bluff, AR there are tons of Aveo's driving around. I own one, my wife owns one, and my Sister-in-law owns one. I don't think the people around here know what they are driving. They just bought a cheap car for the gas prices.

When I got my car for the first time, every Aveo I saw was a red LS model. exactly like mine. Even at school, a guy drives a red 05 Chevrolet Aveo LS, looked exactly like mine. His doesnt have as many options as mine (his has manual windows, door locks and I think the AM/FM radio). Before, the only thing that distinguished mine between his was the fact that he has the factory spoiler on the trunk. Now I have Wheels, trim and more that puts mine apart from his.
I still look around and I see people, young and old, driving Red Aveo LS Sedans that are all still stock. I love driving the Aveo that turns heads.

I have only run into one other white aveo hatch since I bought mine, but I swear I have seen just about every other hatch color there is...

I have yet to see an Aveo in the same color (medium grey) as mine. I think they just started offering it this year...

Coming out of the local grocery store today I see parked RIGHT NEXT to me, my twin!!! minus the tint and emblem removal, but there is another light blue '06 hatch running around here.
So of course I waited to see who got into it...some high school kid, we talked for a few minutes, he has NO INTEREST in modding his first car...which in some ways is kinda cool. I won't have to worry about having a twin anymore..LOL and I'll be able to compare my mods to his stock someday and take pics..LOL
