HA! I just got a ticket for 140 in 110 km zone. Officer said he hit me with laser, but that must have been after i slowed down. (And yes I'm going to fight it in court! )

i just sent in payment for a ticket i got in st louis on august 1st, laser said 84 in a 65 but i know i slowed down, lol. I'm going to fight the ticket because it's only $100.50 and st louis is 6 hours away, im not going to take that time off from work and drive that far for that small of a ticket. I'd loose more money then saving by fighting this one

While it is a rather pain to do... jamming Lidar (laser) is more legal than trying to jam radar guns.
The reason being is that the FCC doesn't govern the light spectrum. However most police jurisdictions have laws to the effect of "interfering with the duties of a police officer" which, if they find out you're using jamming techniques, they could fine/arrest you for.
I'm not going to go far into the techniques used in jamming lidar, because I don't quite understand them myself.
One involves "stealthing" the primary target points on your car. Headlamps, large flat areas (on either the front or back), and license plate(s). By applying a special liquid coating, it is supposedly possible to limit the reflectivity of certain spectrums of light, thus giving the lidar gun an inaccurate reading.
The other major one involves sending out your own light. There are many prepackaged units for doing this. The gist is... you send out your own laser back at the lidar gun, making it impossible for the police to get an accurate speed reading. You can aquire these units for below $600. However, it's much easier for the police to prove that you are employing one of these devices, since it needs to be mounted in several locations. A transeiver in the front and back, and an in-thingypit control box.
The downside to the electronic jammers is that unless the laser is aimed at where the unit is mounted (usually on the front plate) the results aren't so great. A coat of the liquid should still be applied to your headlamps and grille.

you need to learn to slow down, then you won't get speeding tickets.
