Well, maybe it's just my slow computer/software, but I finally compiled a whole mp3 cd for the aveo. There are 185... yes one-hundred and eighty-five, songs... on one cd. It's like a jukebox in my car... the only cd I will ever need. There's rap (about 80% of it rap) plus eighties one-hits, rock, and even the theme song from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It's the ultimate soundtrack to my life!!! Ahh... goodtimes... and once all the tracks were ripped (and now saved) it takes only 30 seconds to burn a disc with all 185 songs. I'm so excitied, I'm even startin' to feel like santa claus. I love music, and love people who love music... so if anyone without the mp3 computer crap wants a disc... maybe I can send one to ya. (Since I will never contribute any other mod, specs, etc. on this site). Hey, I stick to what I'm good at, and I got nuthin but love for my fellow aveo owners.

I checked on the factory MP3 deck from the parts department @ work.....$740 my cost. You can buy a whole lot of jams for that much, I was hoping for under $200, then it might almost be worth having the factory MP3 deck.

Well I was lucky enough to have just an am/fm radio in my car when i ordered it... So I drove across the street from my dealer after I picked it up and grabbed a decent head unit, the mounting kit, and whatever else i needed and brought it home and started ripping apart my car.... My dad came over and saw this and asked me "Couldnt you wait a bit before you started taking things apart???"
My other truck had an MP3 player in it from the factory so I had like 6 or 7 cd's full of about 180 - 200 songs and i have a similar problem of i get bored of them, its sad when you have like 1200 songs at your disposal and you cant find one that you like...

folders work fine. I burned basically every Chemical Brothers and Prodigy album on one CD. I seperated the albums by folder. There's a track surf and a folder surf set of buttons. Hit the folder surf and it will thumb through the folders. Lists the titles and everything. It made the trip to Houston and back a little more pleasant yesterday.
