The stock size on the front speakers are 4". I dont remember if there was space for bigger, but I think so, you just have to remove the stock mounting ring. To get to the speakers you have to remove the door panel and from there its pretty much snip, splice and connect and mount em. Oh BTW, the mounting depth is very shallow! With those speakers able to handle that much power you may want to use a seperate amplifier to take full advantage of them and save your headunit amp.

I have Pioneer 4'' up front, and thats about all that can fit in there. I have foam baffles installed with them, and part of them is gone because of the window. There isnt much room at all, and the corner of the baffle that meets the window track is gone. I think all you can fit is 4''

well, I dont have any pics. But I do have the writeup for the replacement. Someday I will gut my car just for you guys.
1. Pry off the sail panel, the little black panel on the door behind the mirror. You will most likely break the clips, so you will want to run to the dealer to get some replacements. Stick a screwdriver in from the top of the triangle and then pry off carefully.
2. you will need to find a way to pry off the door release trim ring. It was tricky, you just have to find the clips. IF you have to, just take the screw off from inside.
3. Behind the door pull handle, you will see a little plug. Take that out and remove that screw.
4. There are 3 more screws on the bottom of the door. Remove them.
5. Pry out the sides of the door to release the retaining clips. It helps to have the window down. Once all clips are out, lift the panel out of the window channel, and pull out the door panel just enough to disconnect the power window connections.
6. Remoce the 4 screws, disconnect the speaker, and remove the factory speaker.
7. Do as you wish here; if you bought speakers from Crutchfield, then they will supply you with a connector for free. If not, you will need to do some splicing.
8. After your all done there, get your new speakers and hook them up and give them a test. Secure the speaker, and get the door panel. Connect the Power Window controls. Place the panel in the window channel.
9. Line up the clips and give a sharp jab to those locations to lock them in. Replace the screws on the bottom and the one on the door handle. replace the little plug.
10. Replace the door trim ring, and get ready for the sail panel. You probably broke the clips. Put the rounded end of the clips in the door. Get a small 2X4, an old cloth and a hammer. Place the cloth around the 2X4, and put the panel against the clip. Put the 2X4 to the panel close to/on top of the location of the clips. Give the thing a sharp but gentle hit, and you should hear it go in. Do the same for the other one.
There you go, all is said and done. You will see you do not want to remove the thing again. lol.
I still have to take pics for the how to on removing the rear speakers on a 4 door, and now for this one...school and work get in the way, so i'll do it as soon as I can.

Can you please give me some tips on removing this part or better post a pic.
