Hi to everyone. I have replaced my stock headunit with Sony Xplode CDX-R5610 CD Receiver which has the following specs:
TUNER - SSIR-EXA Digital Synthesizer Tuner - FM18/AM12 - 62 Station Memo - Preset List - BTM (Best Tuning Memory)
CD DECK - Drive-S Deck - MP3 Playback with ID3Tag v.2.4 - ATRAC3plus Playback - CD-R/RW Playback - CD-Text Display/Scroll
CHANGER CONTROL - CD CONTROL - CD-Text Display/Scroll - Custom File - MP3 CD Changer Connectable - MD CONTROL - Title Display/Scroll - Repeat/Shuffle - List
SOUND CONTROL - AMPLIFIER - S-MOSFET Output Power: 52W x 4 - Pre Out: Front + Rear/Sub Switchable - DSO2 (Dynamic Soundstage Organizer 2) - EQ3 (3-Band Equalizer/7 Modes) - Bass/Treble (Low/Mid/High) - Low Pass Filter - BBE
Can someone help me decide what specs (rating, size, etc.) of front and rear speaker will I buy?
And also I'm planning to add an amplifier and a sub in the future. What specs of ampli and subs will I look into in buying?
By the way I have an AVEO '04
Thanks in advance

4" Pionner front and 4x9 Pionner in the rear, Alpine 12" Sub with Alpine amp... No amp on the speakers my deck pushes 60 watts per channel. Its loud enough lol. Might change speakers this summer tho since i just got those from Canadian tire lol! Might go with high end Pionner or Infinity

Are you amping just the sub or the speakers too? If you aren't amping the speakers than I wouldn't waste too much money on them, just decent pioneers or maybe even lightning audio(they will surprise you for the price). Type of sub and amp depends on what you are looking for in your bass, sound quality or spl? Also how much are you looking to spend? This is a decent sub for sound quality and it hits pretty hard also. www.cardomain.com/item/POLMM2104match ithe sub with something like this amp maybe better to bridge a 2channel amp though www.cardomain.com/item/PIOGMD510Mhere is a 2channel that you can bridge to work www.cardomain.com/item/POWOV2520

Keep in mind which alot of people dont take into consideration is that the stock speakers usually are "full range" speakers. Aftermarket speakers, at least at the size of ours(4"and below) are going to be more of just highs, and little to no lows. So yes they will be louder and ALOT cleaner and precise, but if you dont have anything to bring up the lows, you may be disappointed. I experienced this when I upgraded my speakers in my Probe.

I like JL Audio. Im going to get the XR series components cost about $350-$400 USD, I was quoted at $350 front and $325 rear. I amost did but I decided to buy a CF hood and slotted rotors.

Well, I am JL all the way. I have be into audio for about 9 years and I always go for that brand. I wish they would start making head units, then I could have a whole JL system. But for now I have just my clarion. Theres a few things I like that is not JL, I like eclipse for subs and MB Quartz for mids and highs but that orange juice is even more expensive.

Oh and 675 for the speakers.... aint nothin, the ZR series run a grand and MB's run way over a grand. and the amp I want. I got hook ups, so I got a quote for 800 but they usually run 1200. Its the JL 500/5
