[glow=red,2,300]**UPDATE**[/glow] Ok, got my HVAC LED bulbs in the mail today, and after alot of controversy on if they were the correct sized bulbs or not......they ARE. I have a couple extra HVAC units laying around and they fit in the holder very well and in the hole as well. I havent "installed" them yet, I will do that tonight and I will then post pics of each color installed on my cardomain site. My instrument LED's should be here by late this week or early next week.

I got 4 of Blue/White/Red/UV for the HVAC, and 6 Blue/White/Red/UV for the instrument LED's. I got all of them from the site that I posted( www.superbrightleds.com/1157.htm )

HVAC= [glow=red,2,300]#74 [/glow]LED bulbs without the holder(scroll to the bottom) Instrument=[glow=red,2,300]T3-1/4 (#194/168) [/glow] Scroll a little past half way down. Titled Single LED Wedge Base Bulbs(the 3 after that are the same bulb number but have more LEDs. Read the description though, the best ones look like WLED-x5 LED Wedge Base Bulbs but they also look kinda wide. I just went with the single LED because it emits a wide pattern and is as close to the OE bulb as possible(fitting wise).
Im also posting the pics on my cardomain site as I speak, but they didnt come out well at all because of the lack of light. Plus it wasnt pitch black in the garage when I put them in but you get the point. BTW they are brighter in person. As you can tell from the pics the lower portion of the HVAC controls(defrost) isnt lit up the best, but is barely noticable in person. The colors are nice and rich especially the red. Coverage is good, but could be a little better, some spots look a tad brighter than others, but I am extremely anal. I ended up putting a blue LED on the blue side of the temp controls and then all the rest are red. All in all it looks way better than stock and was worth the $9 in LEDs incl. shipping. I will post more pics of the instrument LEDs when I get them.
Ok cardomain is F'd up right now for some reason so I will try posting the pics later tonight.

yo sam its craig, yeah i know i am on an aveo forum. I need 194 bulbs for my dashlights and i was gonna order off of the super bright leds site. If you want i will just order them for both of us and don't worry about paying me back. Your dad is gonna fix my truck so i dont really care. Let me know what the numbers are on the hvac bulbs and how many 194s you need and what color and i will order them tonight. oh and heres a picture off of the s10forum to show you how bright they are. this guy did the small gauges in green thats why its green there and the big gauge is obviously blue. ps you guys should check out the s10forum every once in a while, we have different cars but we all do the same things to them and i think they could probably help you with troubles your having

Alright I intalled my gauge LEDs as well now...well not really. I got them today and put em in but they were to dim and the coverage wasnt very good. I went ahead and just bought some normal red 194 bulbs from advance auto and they look better. The hvac LEDs though look great. If your gonna use LEDs for your gauges I suggest getting the 5 LED ones that emit lite from the sides as well as the front. I just dont feel like ordering any more and the bulbs I have in there now look fine. Just thought Id give ya guys a heads up.
BTW pics are up on my cardomain site of the HVAC colors

its an alpine sam. the only problems with the colored bulbs is that they begin to fade in time. red fades to pink and blue to green

My head unit is a Alpine 9831(I think). The bulbs in the HVAC unit will NOT fade because they are LEDs. The bulbs in my gauges could in time, but whatever Ill change em if they do, its not that hard. Get the HVAC LEDs here. www.superbrightleds.com/1157.htm scroll near the bottom [glow=red,2,300]#74 w/out holder[/glow]. In order to change them you'll have to take out your radio to be able to reach in there, but thats easy.
