Im seriously thinking about doing it.
But why is the optra engine rated at 119hp while the forenza is at 126? different ecu? cant be...
I've noticed that from other cars as well... for example the cobalt ss is rated at 171hp and the solstice with the same 2.4 ecotec is rated at 177hp and even has a higher rev limit

thats wierd but you know how chevy is at programming ecms....i mean look at our car and how we get only decent gas mileage and low hp compared to other cars with similar sized engines. so it must be the programming.....see in theory it is an easy swap....hard part is getting an engine under $700 dollars. because 700+ for a 22 hp upgrade in my opinion is not worth it

Agreed, it is a bit expensive but id pay up to 1000$ (CAD) for a low mileage engine

Yes but companies make stuff for the 2.0 and it's was tested that with a exhaust and intake and underdrive pulley the 2L will make over 150 HP

Not really the intake can be modified for the 2L, and your exhaust is already done from the 1.6. remeber this is running off a stock manifold. Plus when the 2L is installed you can sell your 1.6 and probaly get most of the money back

You could fit a Calculatoring w12 if you're good at welding/math/a god.
It's all a matter of where/how/how much.

Do you guys think that it might be possible to put a B16 typeR motor from a Honda Civic? yes possible but it would be cheaper and smart to put it in a civic body..... ugh i wish i never talked about swapping an engine in because you get people asking about stuffing this and that in there...theres a reason the engine selection has been narrowed down to engines like u20sed and other engines found in opels and daewoos...this is because they are likely compatible to fit and work with our transmission....if you want a honda engine, buy a honda car to put it in.....i wouldnt do a b16 typeR any way...like most other honda engines, the torque sucks
