I didnt think it was in the wrong area because its has to deal with the transmission. But wherever I can get some info about it I'll be happy!

I don't think it has anything to to with the tranny. Its a sensor mod on the intake. Unrelated to the trans, switch is just mounted on the selector

You know i think it will work... i ran the car once with the iat sensor disconnected...HOLY it was definitely faster and the CEL came on too and stayed a while even after reconnecting it. I think i try it when it gets a bit warmer

it feels faster because it doesnt cut the fuel when it shifts. do you know the location of the iat sensor for the aveo?

Unrelated to the trans, switch is just mounted on the selector I know the switch is on the selector, I thought it had to do with the trans because it elimates the fuel cut between SHIFTS, thus the reason for my thinking it was having to do with transmission. But as long as I get some knowledgable responses I dont care where it ends up

Mine is not an automatic... So why would it cut fuel when shifting... the iat (intake air temp) sensor is located on the intake hose, has nothing to do with how the tranny shifts

But as long as I get some knowledgable responses I dont care where it ends up the only switch next to my automatic is the hold button(or overdrive button).....and i dont think that has anything to do with the IAT sensor....the iat sensor is that plug that is glues into the stock intake tube and is a pain in the butt to get out. i just looked at that site you posted from what iI see is that he used the Overdrive button as the switch to turn off and on the sensor...so now the o/d button doesnt turn on and off o/d but the IAT instead, hence why he said O/D butten erased

i know that the button by the shifter was added. I'm talking about the fuel cut between shifts having to deal with the tranny. But anyway does anyone know about this working for the aveo and which exact wire it may be?

But anyway does anyone know about this working for the aveo and which exact wire it may be? isnt this worse then the resistor trick? like the guy even said not to do it all the time so i dont think its good for ur good....but your putting nos on so i guess it really doesnt matter

i MAY put nos on it. I'm going to have to get a tranny cooler anyway. Plus it's not like I'm going to be using the nos and iat mod 20 times a day, maybe once a day at most, but probably only at the track or against some punk honda

eliminating the fuel cut between shifts... essentially the same thing as power shifting with a manual. Don't expect the torque converter to last too long. While I'm not at all familiar with the inner workings of an automatic, I couldn't imagine the planetary gears lasting too long, either.
There's an auto launch trick that I'm sure you guys know, but I'll go over it anyways. Just be warned, while this isn't as bad as dropping from neutral, it's still no good on the TC... Hold the brake with your left foot, open the throttle... let go of the brake @ 2k rpms or below. If you hold it too long the torque converter will fully catch and stall the engine... or it'll just snap.
person who taugh me this trick: "Yeah, it's hell on the TC, though... recall old prelude, wasn't shifting right, took to uncle... shows me torque converter while saying 'This is supposed to be one piece, not three"

ok, so are we all in agreement that it does eliminate the fuel cut between shifts?

ok, so are we all in agreement that it does eliminate the fuel cut between shifts? Nope. I've never tried it. I would think that it would work more like this: Transmission ECM sends a signal to the engine ECM that it's about to upshift. The engine ECM then adjusts the fuel amount. I just can't see where the IAT sensor would come in to play.
