What have the differences in fuel economy been? The old Geo Metros that peeps are getting into the 70+ MPG mark are all using pre-heated fuel and air for better atomization, thus better/ more thourough burn of the fuel. I'd think that the mileage may suffer a slight bit with this mod... I see a slight increase in mileage, probably because I don't get bogged down in the heat and don't have to floor it so often to get any power. I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of mileage for power, but since I'm seeing an improvement in both (I've done this mod on several different cars seeing benefits in all) I'll keep the bypass.

Should be able to use the stock clamps, but they're "springy" clamps that tend to wear out the more you squeeze and release them. The screw clamps will last longer, but just be sure you don't overtighten them. There is tight, but there's TOO tight...

just finished, and its worth it! this mod cast me 79 cents ( by the way 1/2" hose spliser fits great, and easyer to find then 3/8" one) and 20 min. of my time, and when waiting for the engine to cool down, i removed the resonator. My friend and i went for a ride after we were done, and we got to the place were there are no people or cars, we stoped to check for leaks, and there weren't any. We wore driving for 15 min and the TB was warm, and not super hot like the ruber lines were. So for the test, we got the car to roll, put it in to second gear and floored it, now, i have done that before, and like some of you guys might know, that first 2 seconds are the car making noise but not accelerating, and im used to that, but this time it was difrent, it took like 1 second and then took off, spining its wheels. i don't know how about you, but it never span its wheel in second gear on a straight road before.
