Just for the fun of it.... I thought I'd make you guys drool over the Euro turbo 2.0L 16V engines from VMAX. www.vmax.de/Click on logo to enter... click on Opel on left side... then click on Calibra.... then C20LET. A screen will pop up with 10 different engines When it says EVOXXX the XXX is the power it makes. So.... The EVO750 makes 750PS PS is a metric horsepower figure...1 PS equals 0.98632 horsepower. So.... 750PS = 740 horsepower !!!!!! Anyone have 18,999 EURO to spend??? It's a drop in for the Aveo ;D

750ps? in a 2.0l turbocharged 4 cylinder motor? I'd bet it's got some horrible idle lolz... but seriously? a drop in for an aveo? i'd settle for the 200-ish hp one... and yeap, i'm drooling...

I wouldnt mind the evo260 that'd be enough to satisfy me lol and if I did my currency conversion right the evo260 would only cost about a grand, wonder what shipping costs would be?

Aveosam... yes... the X20XEV is the U20SED,T20SED
The Z20LET is also a very close cousin to the U20SED

Keep in mind that these packages are for the "modification" of the engine and it's ECU.... you would still need to pick up an engine to give them.
Some of the packages require you to go there and have them tune it.... so it's really only the lower end packages that could be purchased from VMAX (unless you ship your car to them)
A Z20LET or C20LET would probably cost you a couple thousand to get depending on the mileage.
An X20XEV is very common.... you could probably find one of them for a few hundred dollars.
The pricing for parts in the german market is actually pretty decent.... much better than UK.... but the language difference tend to be a pain.
Some German companies will actually have an english version..... for some reason I thought VMAX did as well but I couldn't find it.
If you open the website via Altavista Babelfish it translates fairly well since German and English aren't that far off.

Sure that's lots of power..... but it doesn't mean that you have to use it all the time. Lots of aftermarket tuning systems will allow you to create "launch control" which basicly retards the ignition spark so that you make less power... and it forces the engine to stay at a specific RPM. So..... your at the lights waiting to race..... you have the launch control button on.... your gas pedal is to the floor.... but the RPM's never go above 5000RPM In first gear it retards the timing and you only make 250hp... then in second gear you have the full power. I've seen systems that can control power in 1st gear but it would be cool to make a system that controlled the power output in each gear. Where you need the power is in the upper gears 4th,5th as the gear ratio allows you to apply more power without fear of loosing traction.

Launch control is in nearly every WRC car... It'd be next to impossible to launch those cars otherwise... 350+ft-lbs in dirt/snow/gravel/mud... craziness.

Does anyone know if the 2.3 liter engine in the suzuki aerio would fit in the aveo? ahh that was my idea a long time ago....bad idea...it'll fit, anything will fit....but you would need a tranny, custom wiring, custom axles, and other custom stuff.....for the hp to cost ratio, way too expensive for the power gains
